Church Ministries


Altar Servers: Sis. Sarah Barnes, Coordinator
To assist the Senior Pastor & Deacons during Communion Service. They fulfill the task of lighting/distinguishing the altar candles, among other needed things.

Church In The Community
To serve as an extension of Bellegrove Baptist Church in the community. To create a place of worship, discipleship and fellowship, for all ages, through the preaching and teaching of God's Word.

· Mission One Church meets every Sunday @ 9:30am, 300 Burt Street (in chapel), Syracuse New York. 
Elder Joan Hill, Campus Pastor.

· Mission Two Church meets every Sunday @ 10am, 1207 Almond Street (in chapel), Syracuse New York. Elder Tammy Lyles, Campus Pastor. 
 
Church Training Institute: Elder Elaina Miller & Evg. Katherine Everson- Deans 
To provide spiritual enrichment and training with practical applications in Biblical doctrine. To assist believers to become effective in the role of Christian leadership and discipline. The training union hosts three annual extensive leadership workshops and lectures. Time/place TBD.

Culinary Ministry: Sis. Amie Noel-Barnes, President
To support the various other ministries throughout the church by displaying a hunger for God and a craving to serve people. To strive to feed the Kingdom by providing excellent quality food and service. With a goal for everyone       (staff, members and guests) to experience Christian fellowship while enjoying a great meal.

Diaconate Ministry: Deacon Willie Hudson, Chairman of Deacons
                                    Sis. Carolyn Martin, Chairperson of Deaconess
To serve the Senior Pastor, Elders and membership in carrying out the mission and vision of the church and assisting with pastoral care initiatives. 

Finance Ministry: Deacon Willie Evans, Chairman
Responsible for the financial affairs of the church inclusive of developing uniform systems for accepting offerings and donations, purchasing and accounts payables. Also responsible for matters related to church properties.

Hospitality Ministry: Sis. Tonya Reed, President 
The Hospitality Ministry consists of Greeters and Ushers. This ministry serves to meet, greet and seat our members and guests as they enter our church. The objective is to ensure that each person who enters God's house feels peace, joy and happiness.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry: Elder Tammy Lyles, President 
To intercede for members and nonmembers; to lead the congregation in prayer prior to worship services and other events.  

Kingdom Academy Ministry: Deacon Albert Sellers, Sunday School Superintendent 
To provide the fundamental basics of Christianity to our children, youth, adult members and visitors. Using the explanation of the Word of God as it applies to everyday life through hands-on and interactive teaching. Sunday School meets each Sunday morning at 9:20 a.m. in the prayer chapel

Liturgical Ministry: Sis. Nicole Hudson, President
To express adoration, love and reverence for God through the art of dance, mime and step during worship services and other events. 

Marriage Ministry: Deacon Freddie/Deaconess Lenora Hayes, President(s)
To inspire, encourage, and equip those who are married or engaged to be married. Provide practical and Biblical resources, teaching and sharing opportunities that reveal the heart of Christ concerning marriage.

Media Ministry: Dr. Joshua Martin, Lead Technician
To enhance the worship experience of members and visitors by providing quality video and audio services during worship services and other Ministry events.

Men's Ministry: Deacon Darryl Mercer, President
To provide fellowship for the men, encourage them to become active in the ministry and strive to be role models for the young men of the church and the community.

Minister's Council: Elder Jesse Lyles, Chairman
To work harmoniously with the Senior Pastor and membership in carrying out the mission and vision of the church in the teaching, preaching, priestly and prophetic functions of the ministry.

Ministry of Administration: Sis. Daphene Johnson, Church Chief Administrator
Chief Administrator, Church Secretary & Corresponding Secretary work in collaboration with the Senior Pastor and the leadership team to cast vision, motivate and direct individuals to harmoniously accomplish the purposes of God. Plan and execute systems and procedures to support the mission and vision of the church, and help secure it's long term viability. 

Missionary Ministry: Sis. Nettie Willis, President
Dedicated to ministering to both members and non-members of the church. Provides natural assistance and spiritual nurturing, when needed. Also prepare candidates for baptism.

Mother’s Ministry: Sis. Doris Jones, Senior Church Mother
To provide advice, guidance and wise counsel to the young men/women of the church. To inspire individuals to fulfill their natural/spiritual duties at home and church.   

Music Ministry: Sis. Ashley Noel-Gunter, Coordinator
To provide sacred Christian music during worship services, funerals and other events. The music ministry consists of Musicians, a Praise Team, Sanctuary Choir (Senior Choir, Male Chorus, Voices of Praise Choir) and Youth Choir. 

Nurse Guild: Sis. Nellie Doyle, Lead Nurse 
To serve God’s people by providing attentive care and comfort as directed by the word of God in using our gifts and talents. Attend to the Pastor's and 1st lady’s needs at church as well as outings. To ensure a healthy atmosphere is maintained for our members and visitors.

Outreach Ministry: Missionary Shenora McMillian, President 
To evangelize and disciple the hurting people of the world, with the message of hope and plan of Jesus Christ. This mission is executed as we minister to all we meet, the unsaved, un-churched, homeless, incarcerated as well as those that are away from home attending school (Colleges and Universities).

Overcomer’s Recovery Ministry
To serve as a support group for those members and nonmembers recovering from addiction, traumatic experiences and/or life changing events. To promote Christian growth and wholistic wellness.  

Pastor's Aide Ministry: Sis. Daphene Johnson, President
To provide spiritual support and encouragement to the First family through prayer and random acts of kindness.

Scholarship Ministry: Bro. Kenneth Baxter, President
To demonstrate the church's commitment to our young people in their endeavors toward attaining higher education. To make awards, with available funds, to students who are members of the church and are pursuing their degree.

Security Ministry: Chief Frank Fowler, President
To create a safe atmosphere for members and visitors. To maintain the security of the church facility by being present for services and other events; which may include, opening and closing the buildings for regular church services and scheduled Ministry meetings, monitoring the parking lots and observing the sanctuary and fellowship hall.


Singles Ministry: Sis. Tree Hudson, Coordinator
To educate, motivate, and stimulate those who are unmarried to further know themselves, their purpose and their Lord, Jesus Christ; and to prepare individuals for a successful marriage. 

The Master’s Touch Bible Study: Dr. Ray A. King, Facilitator
To disciple members(visitors) by in-depth systematic study of the Word of God and Christian themes through relevant and insightful teaching by our Senior Pastor, the Elders and guest lecturers. Bible Study meets each Wednesday at 12:30pm & 6:30pm in the fellowship hall.

Women's Ministry: First Lady- Elder Yolanda L. King, President
To provide female focused Christian discipleship and fellowship opportunities for personal growth and development.

Youth Ministry: Elder Nitch Jones- Youth Pastor 
                              Sis. Menyia Hicks- Youth President 
To provide fun filled, Christian based instruction, worship and fellowship for children of all ages. These are some areas for youth to serve;
